Rifugio Azzoni
Resegone, an isolated summit at 1860mt of altitude, with the hut on the top. A 360° breathtaking view extending from the perfectly visible Appenines to the Maritime Alps, Monviso, Monterosa and Cervino, Oberland Bernese, Pizzo Badile and Pizzo Bernina, Pizzo di Coca and Mount Adamello. at its foot, southward and westward, Lecco city and the Pre-alpine Como, Annone, Pusiano and Montorfano Lakes.
More in the distance, the city of Upper Bergamo, the province of Bergamo’s plain and of course, Brianza and Milan.
Northward, Valsassina, Val Imagna and Val Brembana.
The access points to the hut lie in Val Imagna, Valsassina-Morterone, Lecco-Piani d’Erna, Calolzio-Erve. From the several valleys, about a dozen access trails are available, in addition to 7 fix-aid climbing routes of varying difficulty, all leading to the summit. In winter and spring you can climb nortward with skis or snowshoes, and southward along the several gullies leading to the peak. You can even experience the 13 Cime Crossing from Passo del Giùf to Passata Col along the whole summit in approximately 6 hours, with the hut standing halfway.
